Prof. Billington interviewed about AI in Civil Engineering

The November issue of ASCE’s Civil Engineering magazine featured an article titled “What do civil engineers need to know about artificial intelligence?” Author Robert Reid interviewed Prof. Billington among others regarding how AI is used in their work. Our lab’s research on hybrid physical+digital spaces as well as ethical supply chains was highlighted along with the Ethics & Society Review process that we participate in through our seed grants from Stanford’s Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Institute.
