Sarah, Daria, and Antonio attend the Design for Freedom Summit
The 4th annual Design for Freedom Summit took place at Grace Farms in New Canaan Connecticut
The Design for Freedom Summit is an annual event organized by the Grace Farms foundation. 550+ architects, policy makers, engineers, material specifiers, survivors, and researchers gathered together and pledged to address the terrible issue of forced labor in building material supply chains. Sarah spoke on the Scaling Up Circularity panel, where a recurring theme was how to pursue environmental sustainability and decarbonization while simultaneously eliminating reliance on forced labor. While the issues discussed were sobering, it was inspiring to see such a broad community of professionals and scholars deeply committed to addressing this problem
